一个月亮，就像我们平时用眼睛和在照片上看到的一样，它是平面的。我们知道它是一个球形，但是谁也没像看见一个地球仪一样看过立体的月亮。它立体的样子只是存在于我们的理解之中。这件作品呈现一个月亮，如果你用一只眼睛盯着看，在某些时刻你仿佛能看见那个只存在于你理解中的“立体月亮”。The moon, like the one we often see with our eyes or in photographs, is flat.But we know it is a sphere. However,no one has ever seen a three-dimensional moon as a globe. The three-dimensional appearance of the moon exists only in our understanding. This work focuses on a moon, giving one an illusion that moon is actually three-dimensional like how we conceptually understand it.
| Have you ever seen the moon? I mean, personally.We prefer to draw a flat moon rather than a three-dimensional one. We have no such a visual experience since we have never seen a three-dimensional moon with our eyes. I think that we must have an eye in Beijing and the other in New York if we expect to see a three-dimensional moon, and it definitely entails a giant head. |
